But Really, You Need a Real Estate Agent

We spoke about the benefits of using a Real Estate Agent when looking to purchase or rent a new property the other day. However, we didn’t really emphasize why you actually need a Real Estate Agent.

We spoke about the benefits of using a Real Estate Agent when looking to purchase or rent a new property the other day. However, we didn’t really emphasize why you actually need a Real Estate Agent.

If you think you can go it alone, or use an online Real Estate Agent and still get the same brilliant results that a Real Estate Agent can bring you, then by all means go for it. But this is why we think you need a Real Estate Agent.

Why do you need a Real Estate Agent?

If you read our previous post on the benefits of a Real Estate Agent, you’ll know they have all kinds of expertise and experience that you just won’t have, purely from working in the industry; but that isn’t why you need a Real Estate Agent.

You need one purely because they can sell your house for you, much more effectively than you could if you tried to sell it alone — this is for a number of reasons.

Objectivity

You already know that when you’re trying to sell your home it needs to be the very best it can; but it’s your home, it’s perfect already, right? Well, generally, no.

The great thing about a Real Estate Agent is that they have no emotional ties to your home, and can really see what could use improvements to help it sell better. This objectivity is a great reason why you need a Real Estate Agent when looking to sell your property.

Likewise, when you’re buying a property, they can tell you where potential that you’re just not seeing lies, and where a property just needs too much work to be worth it.

Legal and Professional Skills

You’ll already be aware of the marketing that your Real Estate Agent does for your sale property, as well as the viewings etc that they arrange, but they also take care of a lot of paperwork for you, and can even help educate you on some legal matters.

Your Real Estate Agent can give you invaluable assistance on price guidance, the tax you have to pay when selling a property, insider marketing information, and any questions you have post-completion on your sale.

There’s a lot more to selling a house than you might have originally thought, and it’s these factors that make having a Real Estate Agent so essential and beneficial. You see now why we say you need one?
