Find a Home in Glasgow
When you’re looking for a home anywhere in the UK and you don’t mind chancing getting stuck in a load of listings, there are a number of websites that are great to start with. The two biggest online Real Estate Portals in the UK are Right Move and Zoopla; definitely start here to see listings from all the main agents in the city and get a good idea of prices and what’s on offer. Start there and see what’s what, even if you’re just doing a little bit of research before taking the plunge.
If you’re looking to approach a more local Real Estate Agent, then why not try out Slater Hogg? They’re local to the city of Glasgow and will be able to give you the benefit of their own local knowledge and experience – helping you to make an informed choice about the property that you move into.
One thing to take a note of when you’re looking to move into a city such as Glasgow is that not all areas are equal; while one area might be amazing, another just down the road could be completely wrong for what you’re looking for. Due to this, we definitely recommend visiting the city a few times and having a good look around before making a firm decision to move anywhere. This is another benefit of making use of a local Real Estate Agent; they’ll have knowledge that, unless you have local ties, you will not and can help you find the right sort of area for you!
As a final point; as with all other cities, Glasgow is an expensive place to live, so sharing with another person could be the way to go. You could either look specifically for a house share property, or advertise your spare room for let once you’ve moved in. This is a great way to share costs and have more money left over to enjoy your new city of residence.
