If you’re looking for a new country to relocate to, look no further. Slovenia is one of the best countries to live in. The beautiful Slavic country has magical charms that could turn tourists into residents who stay for good. Or at least a little while longer to enjoy every amazing thing the country has to offer. Here are some of the reasons why you should stay in Slovenia.

The people

The best reason to visit there are the Slovenians themselves. Slovenians are one of the most beautiful people on the planet, and the most fit, the happiest and healthiest ones too. Slovenians just love nature and the outdoors. They are very loving too. Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, means “the loved one.” And that’s probably the reason why they care so much for their land.

The caves

Slovenia is blessed with unbelievably exciting natural beauty. There are more than 10,000 caves in Slovenia. Its Postojna Cave is the most famous and the most visited cave in Europe. It has a network of 20 km of passages, galleries, and chambers. If you love caving adventures, you would have to live in Slovenia to explore each one of them in your lifetime!

The vineyards

Slovenians love vineyards. In fact, for every 70 people, there is one vineyard or winery. That’s quite numerous, considering that there are over two million inhabitants in the country. That’s about 216 square kilometers of vineyard. Even the world’s oldest vine, which is about 400 years old, is in the Maribor, the second largest city in the country.

The forests

Slovenia is full of green forests too. With 10,000 square kilometers of forests, that’s half of Slovenia’s total land area. They have about 7,000 kilometers of marked mountain trails and with 165 mountain huts and shelters. They also have one of the oldest national parks in Europe, the Triglav National Park.

The animals

If you were an animal lover, you would love the fact that there are still over 400 brown bears in Slovenia and that the Lipizzaner horse stud, Lipica, was established in 1580 in Slovenia.

If all these reasons do not convince you to live in or at least visit Slovenia for an extended trip, we don’t know what will! It’s such an amazing country that it should be at the top of your list of countries to visit, alongside other Mediterranean countries like Italy, Spain, and Greece. And here’s a quick bonus, Slovenia is slowly becoming a foodie destination too! So make sure you satisfy your gastronomical desires once you’re there.
