Finding Inspiration for Nursery Decoration

Pinterest
Pinterest is a perpetual source of inspiration for anyone even mildly (or just temporarily) interested in interior design and decoration – it’s full of beautiful representations of other people’s projects, tutorials and tonnes of ideas that are sure to get your imaginative cogs working.

Simply head over to Pinterest and type in the type of thing that you’re looking for. It can be as specific or vague as you like, and then just sit back and enjoy as the inspiration washes over you!

Children’s Television
It sounds like a bit of an odd suggestion, but stay with us for a bit. Children’s television is as engaging and enjoyable for children as it is for a reason, and that’s because they love looking at it! Taking inspiration from children’s television shows is a great idea – paint the characters onto the walls, make the room themed as a whole with wallpaper and accessories, and sit back and enjoy all your hard work!
Some brilliant children’s characters that make great decoraiton for nuseries are Winnie the Pooh (and friends), Peter Rabbit, Rupert the Bear and the like.

Choose a Theme based on Traditional Colours
The traditional colours associated with babies and young children are usually pastel pink, blue, yellow and green. You can base a theme around these colours and decorate/accessorise your nursery to suit. For example, you could create a cute jungle theme based around the pastel green shade, a day time in the park theme around the pastel blue, and so on! Just let your imagination run free and see what you can come up with.

Of course you can just have a quick browse of the Internet to find what you’re looking for, too. The inspiration sources really are endless.
